Web Design and E-commerce Websites in Lebanon
Small Patterns designs and builds websites, online stores and landing pages for Lebanese brands that sell through ads. That means the web design Lebanon’s buyers actually need: cash on delivery and local wallets at checkout, WhatsApp ordering, light mobile pages, and Meta and Google tracking wired in before launch. One result from a Lebanese store we work with: Better Life Market went from $10K to $100K in sales a month in 6 months.

At a glance
- Stores and landing pages built for paid traffic from Meta, Google and TikTok, priced and reported in US dollars.
- A checkout for how Lebanon pays: cash on delivery, the Whish wallet and a local card gateway. Stripe, Shopify Payments and Apple Pay don’t cover Lebanon.
- WhatsApp ordering on product pages, with WhatsApp clicks tracked as conversions.
- Meta Pixel with the Conversions API and GA4 ecommerce events, tested with real orders before the first ad runs.
- Proof: Better Life Market’s orders went from 1,000 to 7,500+ in 6 months.
What’s included
We approach a website from the ad account backwards: every page has to turn a paid click into an order or a lead you can count. A project usually covers some or all of these.
- Online stores. Product pages that show the price, the delivery cost and the order button on the first screen of a phone, and a checkout cut to what your courier needs.
- Payments. Cash on delivery, Whish and a card gateway such as MontyPay or your bank’s, each tested with a real order and a refund before launch.
- WhatsApp ordering. An order button on every product page that opens a chat with the product already named, plus a confirmation step before a parcel leaves.
- Landing pages for ads. One page per offer, written for the ad that sends the traffic, then A/B tested once the campaign is live.
- Tracking from day one. Meta Pixel and Conversions API with matching event IDs so nothing is counted twice, GA4 ecommerce events, and a WhatsApp click event. The platforms optimize for whatever you report, so we report buyers, not clicks.
- Email flows. Welcome, abandoned-cart and post-purchase emails, so a customer you paid to reach once can buy again without another ad.
What a website in Lebanon has to handle

Our guide to website development in Lebanon covers each of these in depth. Here is the short version, and what each one changes in a build.
No Stripe, no Shopify Payments, no Apple Pay
Lebanon is missing from Stripe’s and Shopify Payments’ country lists, and from Apple’s list of Apple Pay countries. The U.S. Commerce Department’s 2026 guide says cash on delivery remains prevalent because of consumer preferences and trust issues. So the checkout we plan usually pairs cash on delivery with Whish Pay (a Shopify app since March 2025) and a card gateway such as MontyPay or Bank of Beirut’s. Shops have been allowed to price in US dollars since 2023, and we set stores, budgets and reports in dollars to match.
Cash-on-delivery orders count as purchases in the tracking, and we reconcile refused parcels afterwards. Otherwise the ads learn only from the minority who pay by card.
The sale often ends in WhatsApp
In Pew Research Center’s Lebanon survey, 84% of adults used WhatsApp, more than any other platform, so many orders start on the site and finish in a chat. We put the WhatsApp button where the buying decision happens and track each click as a conversion, so campaigns are judged on who buys, not just who messages.
Slow lines, power cuts and two screens
Median fixed download speed in Lebanon was 16.13 Mbps at the end of 2025 (mobile: 43.90 Mbps), and the U.S. Commerce Department lists power outages and inconsistent connectivity among the country’s digital trade barriers. We keep pages light: compressed images, few apps or plugins, no autoplay sliders. Computers and phones also split Lebanese web traffic almost evenly (51.91% and 47.16% in September 2026, per StatCounter), so we test on both, starting with the pages your ads point to.

How we work
- Free audit. We review your current site or store, its tracking, its checkout and the pages your ads point to, and tell you what to fix first, even when the answer isn’t a rebuild.
- Plan around how your customers pay. The payment mix, delivery zones, the WhatsApp ordering flow, the language your buyers respond to (we build sites in Arabic and English), and the platform that fits your catalog: Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce, or a custom build.
- Design and build, phone first. Product pages, checkout and landing pages, with domain, hosting and admin accounts registered to your company.
- Wire and test tracking. Pixel, Conversions API, GA4 and WhatsApp events checked with real orders before the first ad runs.
- Launch, then keep testing. A/B tests on the pages the ads point to, and reported purchases reconciled with delivered orders, refused parcels included.
FAQ
Which payment methods should an online store in Lebanon accept?
Cash on delivery plus at least one digital option: a wallet such as Whish and a card gateway such as MontyPay or a bank’s. Stripe and Shopify Payments don’t list Lebanon, so the global defaults won’t work here. The options are compared in our guide to payments in Lebanon.
How do you track cash-on-delivery and WhatsApp orders?
We record a cash-on-delivery order as a purchase when it is placed, track WhatsApp clicks as their own conversion event, and reconcile both against orders actually delivered.
How much does a website cost in Lebanon?
It depends on scope, which is why quotes in Lebanon vary so widely. The main drivers are the number of page templates and products, one language or two, payment and courier integrations, custom design versus an adapted theme, and new photography; more in our cost breakdown. We quote after the free audit, and ad spend is always a separate bill.
Can you improve my current site instead of rebuilding it?
Yes, and it is often the better first step. Fixing the tracking, the checkout and the pages your ads point to costs less than a rebuild and shows up in your numbers sooner.
Do you build websites for brands outside Lebanon?
Yes. We work with brands in Lebanon and the GCC. In the UAE, where cards, Apple Pay and pay-later apps are standard at checkout, the build looks quite different: see web design for Dubai brands.
