Small Patterns offers SEO services in Lebanon for Google and for the AI answers built on top of it. We’re a Beirut agency with 160+ clients, and we don’t sell rankings anyone could guarantee.

At a glance

  • Google handled 95.7% of searches in Lebanon in September 2026, so SEO here means Google first.
  • Google says its AI Overviews and AI Mode need no special markup or AI text files: a page has to be indexed and eligible for a snippet, as in regular Search.
  • Arabic, French and English all have a place in Lebanon. Each language version of a page needs its own URL.
  • Microsoft estimates 27.3% of Lebanon’s working-age adults used a generative AI tool in early 2026, against 17.8% worldwide.
  • We report clicks, leads and a fixed list of buyer questions. Google itself says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking.

What’s included

These are the SEO services Lebanon-based businesses need, in the order we usually do them. SEO covers classic Google rankings; GEO (generative engine optimization) covers being found and cited in AI answers. Most of the work serves both.

  • Pages mapped to real queries. One page per service, product category or branch, each written to answer the question a buyer types, in the language your Search Console data shows they use.

What works for SEO in Lebanon

Google is almost the whole market

StatCounter puts Google at 95.7% of searches in Lebanon in September 2026, with Bing at 3.15%. Google’s AI Overviews have supported Arabic since May 2025, and a page can only appear as a link in them if it’s indexed and eligible for a snippet in regular Search. So in Lebanon we get Google right first; the same pages are what its AI answers draw on.

Three languages, separate pages

Arabic is the official language, the constitution gives French a role, and the Francophonie’s observatory estimated in 2022 that 38% of Lebanese speak French. Add English, and a Lebanese business can easily need three versions of the same page. Google works out a page’s language from its visible text, not from code, and recommends a separate URL for each language version, linked with hreflang. A language switcher that swaps text on the same URL, or an English page with only the menu translated, gives Google one page where you need three.

Which language buyers use for a given product is a question for your data, not a guess. Search Console shows the exact queries that bring people to your site, so we decide language page by page.

A small market with thin competition

Lebanon has 5.38 million internet users, so search volumes for most service queries are modest. The upside: in our own keyword research for this site, many Lebanese service results were held by homepages and directories rather than pages built for the query, and the sites ranking had few strong links. A focused page can compete within months. The catch is volume: SEO alone rarely fills a sales pipeline here, so it works best alongside paid ads.

AI answers are growing from a smaller base

Microsoft’s estimate of 27.3% of working-age adults using generative AI in Lebanon (first quarter of 2026) is above the world’s 17.8% but far below the UAE’s 70.1%. Google’s AI Mode added Arabic in October 2025. GEO is worth doing now, mostly through the pages that rank on Google, plus crawler access and clear facts about what you sell, where and at what price.

How we work

  1. Free SEO audit. Indexing, speed, your Google Business Profile, robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, and where you show up today for 20 to 30 questions your buyers ask.
  2. Query map. Those questions in Arabic and English, each matched to one page on your site, existing or new.
  3. Fix, then build. Technical fixes first, then the pages closest to the first page of Google, then new ones.
  4. Local and links. Google Business Profile, directories, partners and local press.
  5. Monthly report. Clicks and leads from Search Console and analytics, visits referred by ChatGPT and other assistants, and the same question list rechecked in Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude.

FAQ

How much do SEO services in Lebanon cost?

It depends on how much needs fixing and how many pages need writing, so we quote after the free audit rather than from a price list. SEO is usually a monthly retainer, because results build over months; we compare agency pricing models in our guide to choosing an agency.

How long does SEO take in Lebanon?

Months, not weeks. Technical fixes can show in Search Console once Google recrawls the pages, but new pages need time to be indexed and earn links. Lebanon’s thinner competition helps, and we still won’t promise a date or a position: Google says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking.

What is GEO, and is it different from SEO?

GEO (generative engine optimization) is the work of being found and cited in AI answers such as Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Claude. Most of it is SEO, since Google says its AI features use the same foundations as Search. The extras are letting the AI search crawlers in, writing answers that stand on their own, and tracking a fixed set of buyer questions across engines.

Do I need an llms.txt file to show up in AI answers?

Not for Google: it says you don’t need new machine-readable files, AI text files or markup to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. We put crawler access, indexing and clear pages first, and treat llms.txt as optional.

Should my website be in Arabic, English or French?

In the languages your buyers search in, which is often more than one. Give each language its own URL, link the versions with hreflang, and translate the whole page, not just the menu: Google advises against side-by-side translations and redirecting people based on a guess about their language.
